The Department of Insubordination is an artist collective using creativity as resistance. We are organizing an art & craft show event November 16th to fight f*ascism, build community, and raise funds for The Trevor Project — a vital resource for LGBTQ+ youth.

This show is our response to the dangerous erasure happening right now.

Words like “transgender”, “disability”, “pronoun”, “race” and “ethnicity” are being erased from the official communication by our current administration. Read the NYT article “These Words Are Disappearing In The New Trump Administration”.

We refuse to stay silent. We’re inviting artists and makers from around the world to submit creative works that center these banned words — reclaiming them through art, craft, and storytelling.

90% of all sales will be donated directly to The Trevor Project

10% will go toward production costs (space rental, printing, installation)
